Reviews From My Clients

Kasper 2022

Olga gave a great tour about both the history of Riga and the background of all the buildings we went to see. Very kind person, good sense of humor and thought about what worked for us and for our teenagers. Always hard to choose a guide from a short online description but this was waxy what we hoped for. Thank you Olga!

Tim 2022

Very good walking tour. Would recommend Olga to everyone!

Mary 2022

An excellent tour of Sigulda! Olga was a very careful driver and a knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed our day with her. The second tour with Olga was to Jurmala at the seaside. She was very accommodating, in that she was willing to extend the beach walk for me. She was also mindful of my husband's preferences. She suggested we finish back in Riga, at the huge, original location of the cafeteria Lido. It's an amazing place with great food.

Jane 2022

Olga did a wonderful job showing us the sights around Riga. It was a national holiday making the traffic much easier. We liked the market and the old town, but particularly enjoyed the Art Nouveau architecture. We spent about 45 minutes walking and learning about this short-lived but fascinating period. Very professional and enjoyable.

Jordan 2022

Olga's walking tour through old town Riga was great, starting at Hotel Justus, ending in the Central Market. Nice landing spot at the Art Cafe Sienna while gazing at Art Nouveau/Eisenstein architecture. She knows her history, good pace, nice first pass at Riga

Bob 2021

Olga was very knowledgeable about Riga and it's history and brought a personal touch to the tour with stories from her own life. We would definitely recommend her.

Carl 2021

Olga took our group of 3 couples on a tour of Riga yesterday with a focus on Jewish history in the area. We made a great choice by choosing Olga for our tour. Even though the weather was horrible (heavy rain, very windy) Olga didn't miss a beat. She was very knowledgeable and personable. We highly recommend Olga for your tour. The only negative comment I have would be Olga's vehicle...it was very tight for 7 adults, and the air conditioning and defrost didn't operate properly.

Hanna 2021

We had to book last minute. Olga took us to the Jewish Heritage sites. Although she's not Jewish, she was very know about the plight of the Jewish population during holocaust period. She also provided practical information about day to day life in Riga today. Very kind and great guide!

Lynn 2021

Olga was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour, the weather was not on our side, but we all made the most of it. The Fishing Museum was really interesting, and the Art work that changed with the lighting was fabulous. If the weather had been kinder a walk along the seashore would have been nice too, however, Olga took us to a nice restaurant where we dried out and warmed up with some Blackcurrant and Riga Black Balsam.

Monique 2021

Olga was a guide really full of stories and information, which I normally can find a bit boring. But I did not. The tour itself had a lot of variation in it, which made it far more interesting, even when you are not the biggest castle fan like me. I really enjoyed all activities and sightings.

Roy 2021

Olga went out her way to make sure that we had an amazing experience for the Rundale Palace tour. Olga is very knowledgeable of the history of Latvia as she shared and answered our questions along the way. We enjoyed the castle in Bauskas. The Rundale castle and gardens were absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our guide. The highlight of our trip was a surprise that she had planned for us.

Anne 2020

Wonderful stories and such a fun and informative guide. Highly recommend. Great guide with lots of great stories to bring all of the buildings and history to life.

Sabina 2020

Had a nice tour on foot around Riga Old Town. Olga is amazing tour guide. Only the best recommendations as Olga is a real professional!

John 2019

Would happily recommend Olga to any visitors. First she was flexible both as to time and more importantly on agenda/content responding fully to my interests. On top of that she was fully responsive to my many questions about life and structure of society—even did post-tour research on questions. And final note—you must ask her for story of how she got from Russia to Latvia to follow her boyfriend. Truly movie material!! Thanks to Olga for great visit.

Berta 2019

Olga is a very versatile guide. She is impressively knowledgeable about every aspect of what matters to get to know in Riga. We had a very productive day with her fitting in hard to reach locations and more.

Ken 2019

Great knowledge of city history and architecture. Personal stories , background, and viewpoints much appreciated. For some with hip & knee problems the seat at the organ recital was appreciated, as well as the performance. Perhaps an earlier start (9.30am ) with a short coffee break would be preferable.

Paolo 2019

Olga was fantastic and we really were pleasantly surprised by Riga! If you are thinking about visiting Riga don't think twice. Go! If you are going to get a guide, you are going to love Olga. Very thorough and one of the most knowledgeable guides we've ever have.

Susan 2019

We had a wonderful tour. Olga's knowledge of the history and architecture of Riga is outstanding. One of our passengers has mobility issues. Olga was able to get as close as possible with the car for us to see and experience. Well done driving in such narrow streets. A great experience would highly recommend. Thank you again Olga.

Brent 2019

Olga was a great tour guide. She had extensive knowledge of Old Riga and done a lot of research on her own. I had been here many times but still learned a lot. I would heartily recommend Olga and her tour!

Keith 2019

Olga was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Riga. She was happy to answer questions and had a very good sense of humour which we appreciated. We got slightly lost on the way to meet her but she was happy to find us. Many thanks for a very interesting afternoon. Keith.

Michael 2019

Great overview of the must-see-sights in Riga. Highly recommend the tour!

Dorothy 2018

Olga gave us a very interesting tour of old Riga and showed good knowledge of the town and its history. She was pleasant and helpful and we can recommend her as a guide. 5 ladies from Trondheim.

Ivetta 2018

We were very lucky to have Olga as our tour guide. She gave us very interesting tour of old Riga with the history and legends and even garlic ice-cream.

Loraine 2018

Amazing local knowledge made the place come alive. Olga's kindness towards us made us feel that she was a long lost friend. Our special thanks for the Jelgava part of the trip. It is not on the tourist trail and Olga had gone out of her way to make it memorable. Another tour made special by her interesting way of bringing the places we visited to life. The stories and her way of delivering them made for a wonderful excursion.

Hilton 2018

Olga is exactly what a guide should be. We were so impressed! She's extremely knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects, shows her experience, and yet maintains an interest and passion in her role as a guide. She was an excellent communicator and very understanding of our needs, including that of our 5 year old daughter travelling with us. We couldn't rate her too highly! We had a great day out and highly recommend Olga.

Suzanne 2018

Olga was superb. We all really enjoyed our tour around the old town of Riga. Not only did she tell us all about the history of the town, but she also advised us on places to eat and what else was worth seeing. She knew vast amounts about Riga's history and was not only interesting and informative but also very funny. Would DEFINITELY recommend. There were six of us and I think that for just over £10 each for a two and a half hour tour, it was extremely good value for money,

Nelson 2018

My wife tripped on the cobblestone street. She suffered a deep gash above her eye. An ambulance was called. Olga was very helpful in dealing with the medical technicians. My wife and I appreciated Olga's concern and how she dealt with the situation. (Our relatives were able to continue with the tour.) Thank you, Olga!

Barbara 2017

Enthusiastic, punctual and knowledgeable describes Olga. Enjoyed her tour and highly recommend. Car was clean and comfortable.

Kim 2017

I toured with Olga and she was fabulous. I am a travel agent and  I have never been disappointed but Olga topped our expectations. She was very prompt in returning my emails BEFORE our trip and was waiting for us when we departed the ship. There were three of us in my group and she customized the tour to our interests. Her English easy to understand. We enjoyed a relaxing lunch together yet still had plenty of time to see all the sights. I highly recommend Olga.

Evelyn 2017

Olga met us promptly and gave us (six people) a comprehensive walking tour of old Riga. She included the Synagogue as a special request and was friendly and very willing to answer all our questions. Her English was very good and we all enjoyed our day in Riga. I would recommend Olga to others without hesitation!

Nikolay 2017

We were exceptionally satisfied with that tour. This was a great service provided by Olga despite the hard weather conditions.

Rosemary 2017

Olga was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic; her tour was comprehensive and gave an extremely good overview of a city we had very little time to see. Like your other guides, she was very helpful to a couple of partially disabled tourists. It was a good tour and I would have no hesitation recommending Olga to others.

Vitaly 2016

Olga was a very professional tour guide in Latvia. She greeted us, took us to all of the greatest spots, and was very knowledgeable, answering any questions we had for her. We highly recommend Olga for all future tourists interested in visiting Riga. She made our trip there wonderful

Geraldine 2016

Olga was absolutely fantastic! Not only did she tailor the tour exactly to our requirements but she was patient, answering all of our many questions. She is extremely knowledgeable with a great sense of humour.

Rhonda 2016

Olga took us around Riga on day 1 and managed us with bad weather by driving us for the start then the walking tour when the weather improved. The second day we went to Rundale Palace and then to Sigulda! This was a huge day and we were all tired but very happy at the end! Olga gave us a great deal of information, her knowledge is very extensive and she was able to give us a really good taste of Latvia. Thankyou Olga from the group from Australia.

Richard 2016

Olga is a great guide. She met me at the airport. We pre-planned and agreed upon a custom tour of sites I was particularly interested in. Olga's English is very good, and she researched everyplace I wanted to visit, so we could take a very efficient route. Her knowledge of history is outstanding and was able to answer all of my questions. I definitely would use Olga again, and highly recommend her. She took me to more places than I had planned, and did not short change me on time

Sandra 2015

Loved our guide!

Rob 2015

We had a very nice day in Riga. We were exhausted at the end of our 6 hour tour. WE felt that we saw every corner of the city and learned all about the art and architecture of the city. She was very knowledgeable about the area and the history. Thanky you Olga for helping us to appreciate your city a little more.

Arthur 2015

Olga was incredibly knowledgeable, adaptable and humorous as she led our group thru a shifting day of needs and likes/dislikes. I enjoyed her ability to "roll with it" and keep us all entertained and informed.

Patricia 2015

Olga is brilliant and passionate which combines for a fabulous, exciting, informative, personal and entertaining tour of beautiful Riga. Her storytelling was exuberant and historically accurate. The drive stopped at all important places for photos. The long walk through Old Town and the Art Nouveau district was inspiring! The tour over delivered and we were very happy. Olga is fabulous. Thank you for such a delight we will remember for a long time!

Jerome 2015

Another wonderful tour. We found this tour to be a very thorough exploration of Riga, and a lot of fun due to Olga's knowledgeable and good-humoured guidance. Riga's art nouveau buildings are a knockout--many buildings that have been beautifully restored and just shine. This is a terrific city, and a great tour; and Olga was a wonderful companion and guide for our first day there.

Karen 2015

Olga is amazing -- extremely knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and willing to adapt plan as day went on. She is enthusiastic and upbeat. A total pleasure. (and Riga is an amazing city!)

Jill 2015

If you have only one day in Riga, this is the perfect tour! Olga did a fantastic job of giving us insights into the history and culture, but her knowledge of the architecture was truly amazing. We covered all the highlights of the town in our five hour walk. We loved it!

Lloyd 2015

Olga give my family and me a great tour of Riga last week. she picked us up at the pier and did a fantastic job of showing us the sights of the city. She was very informative and pleasant. My family really enjoyed her insights and stories and frankly, just chatting with her. I highly recommend her services.

Sharon 2015

Olga's tour was great! She was so knowledgeable and shared so many wonderful sites of her city with us. We had a very complete and interesting tour of the old city, and we enjoyed the Art Nouveau District and the Forshadt and all her stories. She was undeniably knowledgeable (and very enthusiastic!) about her city. We learned a great deal about Riga and Latvia. I would recommend her services to anyone who really wants to see and learn about Riga.

Mac 2015

Our group of 7 thoroughly enjoyed the professionalism and knowledge of Olga - particularly her knowledge of the Art Nouveau District, a very interesting part of Riga that most tourists miss. Our tour was very extensive and Olga did an excellent job of keeping us on schedule. She was very attentive to our needs for rest and sustenance.

Elizabeth 2015

Olga was a wonderful guide to the beautiful city of Riga. She picked us up promptly and gave us a short but comprehensive history of the city. Since she had a van, we were able to see Kipsala Island and other outlying areas of the city that we could not have seen otherwise. The Art Nouveau area came alive for us as Olga described the embellishments on many of the buildings. Olga's tour of the Old Town enabled us to understand Riga's rich heritage. And she did all of this in just four hours! Terrific!

Evelyn 2015

Riga was an absolute delight! Olga was a fabulous tour guide, who told marvellous stories about Riga's history and the city's famous buildings and their architects. She was also very helpful in finding us a fun lunch place - not too expensive - where our group of 7, including 5 children ages 12-24 enjoyed pizza! I liked the potato pancake with fresh salmon & sour cream!

Loraine 2014

Amazing local knowledge made the place come alive. Olga's kindness towards us made us feel that she was a long lost friend. Our special thanks for the Jelgava part of the trip. It is not on the tourist trail and Olga had gone out of her way to make it memorable.

Stephan 2014

Before our tour Olga was always quick to reply, and we easily (and timely) found her at the agreed upon meeting point. She's very knowledgeable about Riga and we believe that she showed us the most important bits of Old Riga. Would definitely recommend!

Patricia 2014

Olga gave us great, real world background on Riga from medieval times through the present. The discussion of the changes politically, economically and socially in the past 100 years was especially fascinating. In addition to our tour of Old Toen, Olga also provided us with a fabulous introduction to the beautiful Art Deco buildings and their architects. Highly recommended!

James 2014

Olga made our one day cruise stop in Riga very enjoyable. She was prompt, friendly, very knowledgeable and she spoke fluent English. I would strongly recommend Olga as a tour guide.

Michael 2014

Olga is terrific - we had a wonderful afternoon in Riga with her. She is engaging, very knowledgeable, thorough and a pleasure to be with. Highly recommend. Aly & Michael

Tone 2013

We were a group of 30 persons that were guided by Olga in August. She took us on 2 hours walk around in Riga Old town. Olga guided with confidence and knowledge. She shared a lot of exciting stories of historic events from Riga, presenting it with a good sense of humour where applicable. If you are interested in history and architecture, you will find a valuable resource in Olga, she has the historical knowledge and the skills to convey it.

Debbie 2013

Olga was absolutely wonderful. She loves Latvia and told us such interesting and funny (and sometimes serious) stories about the country. Olga went above and beyond to accommodate us, no matter what changes were thrown at her (ship changing the arrival time.. she knew that before we did!) she was still able to deliver exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend her, you won't be disappointed!

Anna 2013

Excellent introduction to the old town of Riga - good choice of sights, very interesting commentary and insights into life in Latvia

Faith 2013

Olga is a lovely person and a reliable, knowledgeable and sensitive tour guide. I selected a tour with a Jewish theme. I saw and learned so many things I otherwise wouldn't have. Olga generously took me to a place that I requested that was not on the itinerary. She made it so I could spend more time with exhibits by bringing the car to me when parking was otherwise far. She took me to a fun Latvian restaurant with food that far exceeded my expectation. So glad to have met Olga. I highly recommend her.

John (Jack) 2013

Olga-a superb tour guide knowledgeable about Latvia. My wife is handicap & uses a wheelchair & Olga adapted the tour to suit our needs to see much more the we would have on a normal ship tour. We traveled first to Jurmala and visited the beach area famous locations on the way. The tour was much more than a windshield tour! We then returned to Riga touring the sites & enjoyed a Latvian lunch. The afternoon was topped off with stops & visits to the Art Deco area of Riga. Olga - very knowledge about Latvia!

Annemarie 2013

Olga was great. She spoke amazing fluent English. She was flexible in accommodating the wants needs and limitations of our party Her knowledge of the history and stories about Riga kept the day fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend Olga!

Michael 2012

Olga met our ship and off we went exploring the country side and then Rundale Palace. We enjoyed her so much as we toured the palace and the beautiful garden. If you are looking for a wonderful shore excursion this is a good one.

Douglas 2012

Olga was very passionate about her city/country and enjoyed telling us about it. We learned a lot about Riga and its culture. We saw many sights we never would have seen on our own or on a regular cruise ship excursion. We highly recommend Olga!

Nessa 2012

Olga was great, very knowledgeable and interesting. When we asked for an experience based tour she immediately took us to a café to try the local Balsam. She also amended the tour when our kids got tired.

Alan 2012

Olga was a wonderful, friendly guide, & we had a great time with her. She drove us right up to all the sites (I have difficulty walking), including a fantastic coffee shop with tasty cakes. Not only did we visit the best highlights of Riga, but she also added a tour around the market, that we had requested, with no calculation on her part of "her" time. Our group of 6 was delighted with her fluent English and interesting guiding. We heartily recommend Olga to others desiring an excellent guided tour!

Barger 2012

Our tour with Olga was excellent. She is exceptionally knowledgeable .... and she sprinkled her knowledge with extraordinary stories which gave us a true flavour of Latvia.

Adrian 2012

Olga was extremely knowledgeable of the local area and was more than happy to answer the many questions I had for her! She was fun and very personable! This tour made my trip! 🙂
